I love when I find deals to share with you, but when I find an organization that pays it forward and saves you some cash, it makes the sharing so much sweeter.
A few days ago I did a post on the Big Apple Circus. They are coming to town Feb 12 - Feb 28 and have offered My Atlanta Mommy readers up to a 30% discount on ticket prices. This past Sunday I was looking through the Parade Magazine for coupons and came across an article about Clown Doctors.
The article, written by Dr. Ranit Mishori , said, "Research has confirmed the role of laughter in healing. A study in Pediatric Anesthesia reported that using medical clowns for children undergoing surgery can “significantly alleviate pre-operative anxiety” when compared with no intervention, and is better than or similar to sedation medication.".
The article then went on to say that the Big Apple Circus has helped train and place clown doctors in more than 18 facilities nationwide. What a beautiful way to Pay It Forward!

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is one of the hospitals where the not-for profit Big Apple Circus Clown Care clowns visit children all year long!
