“Hearts for the Holidays” is a fun pay it forward to 145 Cobb County underprivileged children hosted by Variety of Georgia. Variety of Georgia is a local charity which has made it their goal to help children with disabilities overcome their mobility challenges, helping them reach their potential to live full, active lives. The program provides funding for wheelchairs, specially-designed adaptive bikes, and other durable medical equipment so children have the chance to be active participants at home, school, and at play!
Variety of Georgia will be playing Santa on December 18th when it presents a mobility bicycle (valued at $3000) to a physically challenged child and gives away stockings and gifts to 145 disadvantaged Atlanta youth, following a special, free movie screening!
The event will be held at AMC Parkway at 3101 Cobb Parkway on December 18, 2010 beginning at 9 am.
- 9:00am – Children arrive and check in
- 10:00am – Movie starts
- 11:30am – Santa Visits, balloon artist and face painter to entertain kids
Sponsors of this event are MNM Movies, Coca-Cola, Cinema Concepts, Carey Limousine, AMC Theatres, and Assurant Insurance.
