I will be heading down to Fernbank tonight to check out the new Darwin exhibit. It opens tomorrow, but I was graciously invited to visit it tonight so I can share all of it's coolness with you! I am super excited about seeing the reconstruction of his study at Down House. There is so much to see, touch, and learn at the Darwin exhibit. It has a display of species of live carnivorous plants which I am sure my boys will LOVE to see.
But. . . that will have to be for another day, because my visit to Fernbank tonight is a ME night out. I will be going to the Darwin Exhibit and then staying for Martini's and IMAX afterwards. Much like the grown-up Island Adventure Night Fernbank is hosting on September 30, I will be learning to do some salsa dancing, enjoying a couple themed martinis and watching a spectacular film! I will tell you all about it this weekend!
Tomorrow Fernbank will celebrate the opening of Darwin with a special family day filled with activities, performances and other programming on September 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The opening day celebration is included with museum admission and free for members.
I will be writing more on the Darwin Exhibit this weekend, but for now, you can find more information at fernbankmuseum.org/Darwin.
