SweetWater Brewery Expansion. yay!

Thanks to 360 Media and the guys over at SweetWater Brewery, I was one of the luckies who got to do a "Behind the Construction" media tour and happy hour.  My friend Justin is a HUGE Sweetwater fan AND consumer so I asked him to go with me.  He was, most assuredly,  like a kid in a candy store. The best candy store EVER.  Not really being a beer drinker myself, he was happy to help out with the tastings and had more than a few samplings of their new brews and a few of his old favorites as well.  I did try some of their Fresh Sticky Nugs.  Yummy! I feel silly trying to say all the proper beer terms, because I have no idea what I'm talking about, so for you beer fans, here is a review from BeerAdvocate.com

and for the REAL beer connoisseurs:

Malts: 2-row, Wheat, Munich, Chocolate
Hops: Nugget, Columbus, Centennial,
with Fresh Nugget dry hop
Beginning Gravity: 19.5 Plato
Final Gravity: 5 Plato
ABV: 8.0% IBU’s: 130

This is a happy little video for SweetWater fans of the "Behind the Construction".  It is also a really cool video to watch with your kidlets who are into watching diggers, and backhoes, and other construction whatnot.

Stop by the brewery Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 5:30 - 7:30 and starting Saturday's 2:30 - 4:30 for brewery tours and tastings.  The tour is just $10 and you get a souvenir pint glass and 6 drink tickets (each good for a half a pint of beer).  Visit on Wednesdays, check in on foursquare and save yourself a buck on the tour too!
