Another easy way to save money and learn about local places is to join foursquare.

People leave tips on what to order - and what not to order.  Many eateries will offer a special discount or freebie for check-ins.  And . . . if you are not familiar with yelp or urbanspoon - traveling is a good time to get to know them.  I use them both when choosing places to eat in cities I am not familiar with, as well as the metro Atlanta area.  Though these sites might not save you money directly, they will save you time, energy, and save you from spending money on a bad meal!   

Save on ski equipment, hotels, travel, and more with Upromise and put some money away for the kids college while you do!  Check out their Daily Doubles, for extra savings at places like REI and Sports Authority. They have 100's of stores to choose from.  Plus register your store cards with them and earn money towards college from your grocery and mall shopping.
