Today was a very blustery day in Atlanta. And blustery makes me think of Winne the Pooh. And Winnie the Pooh makes me think of my favourite Pooh CD, Return to Pooh Corner by Kenny Loggins. And thinking about the CD makes me think about my two oldest (now 20 and 18) sitting in their little car seats listening to Return to Pooh Corner over and over again.
So today, while the littlest c was having a snack I put my favourite song from the album on for him, the title song, Return to Pooh Corner. And apparently hearing the song now makes me snif. snif. sniffle. I can't even write this post without crying like a girl.
The song is even more touching when your little ones turn into big ones. Without question - it is a tough one to listen to again after singing it to them when they were little. Perspective was so different then. Now one is in college and the other leaves for the Marines in the Spring. Time flies. Really! Enjoy the moments - all of them. And don't be too busy to "count all the bees in the hive" and "chase all the clouds from the sky" with them while they still want to!
I love all the songs from this CD, but The Rainbow Connection would be my next fave after Return to Pooh Corner. A couple more must haves:
The Last Unicorn
All the Pretty Little Ponies
You will love this CD for your little ones, whether you are Pooh fan or not. It has some beautiful lullabies on it.
